About Ava

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, welcoming, and patient. I like working with kids because they're all so different. Kids teach you things about yourself and I love nurturing positive attributes. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with my school schedule. I'm pursing a degree in law enforcement and need to make sure it's my top priority. I started working with kids when my first brother was born. From there I helped raise 4 cousins and a lot of other family members. I worked at the YMCA when I was 16 as a camp counselor and really enjoyed it. I also obtained a year of experience caring for special needs children through my family owned corporation. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my friends take care of my animals and be around my family, I also spend a lot of time at my local ASPCA. My skills include being able to follow any types of disciplinary plans, knowing how to redirect bad behavior, and keep kids engaged in activities that aren't electronic
