About Avalon

I'm an experienced childcare provider with over 10 years of caring for children from newborns through pre-teens. My emphasis has been on infant and preschool care. I'm especially passionate about supporting babies and young children through their early development. I focus on building secure attachments and creating a calm responsive environment where kids feel safe to explore. My approach is informed by Reggio-Emilia, Montessori, and Waldorf philosophies, with an emphasis on play-based learning and outside time. I value nature exploration, creative expression, and child-led play. I bring presence to my work and really love getting to know each child as an individual. Being able to show up reliably with a balance of warmth and clear boundaries is something I take a lot of pride in. I see childcare as relational work and feel honored to support families through these times.
