About Ava

Hi! My name is Ava. My experience working with children started as I grew up assistant teaching at my ballet studio and babysat around my neighborhood in the suburbs. I started teaching dance classes myself in high school and continue to do that today with the Niles Park District. I have a passion and experience working with many different children with special needs through Western DuPage and Maine-Niles Special Recreation Associations. I also have years of experience babysitting for a child with down syndrome. I have recently quit ballet after doing that as a trainee at a professional company in Florida and have moved back to Chicago. I have my associates degree in psychology and am excited to be pursuing my masters in social work right now. I love working with kids not only because it is so rewarding to see the difference the right support can make in their lives but also because it aligns well with my patient and friendly personality.
