About Ava

Hi! My name is Ava, and I'm an Elementary Education student at San Diego State University (SDSU) with a passion for working with children. I have over two years of experience working with children from preschool through fifth grade. I currently work in an after-school program for the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District, where I help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for kids every day. I'm responsible, patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and build confidence. I have reliable transportation and can assist with school pick-ups and drop-offs, homework help, meal preparation, light housekeeping, crafts, outdoor play, bedtime routines, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities. My experience has taught me how to communicate well with both children and parents while ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and cared for.
