About Autumn

I've spent my whole life caring for children in some regard. As the oldest child of seven children in my family, I began watching my own siblings to help my parents out, and eventually began Mothers Helper-ing for my mom's friends (my mom was a midwife, so there was never a shortage of people who needed extra help!) I've been a camp counselor for kids, teenagers and special needs adults, a teachers assistant in a first grade class and a care taker for newborns-toddlers at a church nursery. From there, I was asked by a friend to help out with her spectrum son, and the rest is kind of history. I've worked with families completely full time and part time, and am getting to have quite the handle on morning routines and filling schedules with fun things to do. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, have my own car and have a childlike love for creativity: I paint, sing and dance professionally (I sometimes show my art, have sung since I was 15 and was a competitive Scottish dancer.)
