About Austin

Hi I'm Austin! I have worked with children for 17 years, starting at UCLA, where I did an Autism Internship and graduated with a BA in Psychology. I am currently a Social Coach for neurodivergent kids. I have also worked with many families doing SLS, SD, ABA, Parent Training and Case Management. As an RBT and CM, I've supported over 100 neurodivergent children in clinics, homes and schools I have also been a Preschool Teacher, SPED Aide and soccer and basketball coach. With all these jobs I've done, my favorite is being a dad to my 4 kids- my son, 6, 2 daughters 8 and 11, and our baby boy due 8/23! I'm fluent in Spanish since teaching in Mexico City in 2015. In 5 years on Care, I've been a child mentor, family support coach and tutor for over 20 families! I have also tutored about 15 other kids of all ages in every subject from literacy to music to geometry. I am on leave from a Masters program in Special Ed and ABA, to help with our new baby, but returning in January.

Highly recommend! Austin has been working with my 4 yr old son for several months. We have struggled to find consistent babysitters in the past and it has been a joy to find someone so knowledgeable, kind, and reliable. Most importantly, my son looks forward to his visits. While my child is not on the spectrum, I have been able to learn from Austin's behavioral therapy experience. I often struggle with how to handle extreme tantrums and he has been able to work with us on emotional regulation techniques.
