About Audrey

I have designed and implemented programs of a cognitive and recreational nature in nursing homes, with specialized work/programs with Alzheimer's, dementia, and many levels of physical and mental handicap. I was licensed by NYS as a Director of Recreational Therapy in the field of Long-Term care and Rehabilitation with an aging population. I have also set up and provided personally cognitive programs via music and art. I have a degree in Creative Arts Therapy, specializing in Music Therapy where I worked for the State of California for several years as a Music Therapist in over 15 nursing homes. I am a people person and an advocate for the geriatric population.

I hired Audrey to care for my 91 year old mother, who had dementia and is exceedingly difficult. Audrey worked with my Mom for a year, until March 2021, and was responsible for all elements of care including bathing, cooking, and personal hygiene. Audrey was patient, kind, dependable and trustworthy. She tried many avenues to keep my mom calm, engaged and distracted, including music, art and games. I applaud Audrey's perseverance and recommend her as a senior caregiver.
