if you are looking for a kind, compassionate, and patient teacher, you are reading the right profile. I've been educator my entire adult life working primarily in first and second grades. I also spent few years substituting in the local public school for all age groups. Currently, I am an academic coach and work in reading and math remediation. I have training in The Science of Reading, Haggerty and Kendore. all of these programs are aids and helping struggling readers and writers. I use a variety of teaching methods and seek to find ways that the child best learns. Having a tutor during the summer is a great way to keep a student on track for the next school year or to brush up on skills that have not been mastered.
