I truly cannot imagine giving a more enthusiastic five-star recommendation than I can for Aumie. She is everything you could hope for in someone caring for your child: loving, hands-on, creative, dependable, thoughtful, experienced, and above all, a genuinely wonderful person. Aumie cared for our daughter (5 months - 1 year) from March through October, and we had sincerely hoped our time with her would be much longer. The only reason we are ending our time together is because I have made the decision to leave my full-time career and become a stay-at-home mom. One of the hardest parts of making that decision was knowing it meant we would no longer have Aumie caring for our daughter. If our circumstances were different, we would happily keep her with our family for years. As a new mom, I was learning how to navigate each new stage of our daughter’s first year, and Aumie became an important source of support for me along the way. Her experience, calm and caring nature, and excellent communication helped build my confidence as a mom. She never made me feel unsure or judged. Instead, she was incredibly thoughtful about sharing what she noticed, talking through ideas with me, and supporting the way we wanted to parent. There is an enormous amount of trust involved in leaving your baby in someone else’s care, and I always felt completely at ease knowing our daughter was with Aumie. She is capable, attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in the children she cares for. She cared not only about our daughter’s physical needs and safety, but also about her emotional well-being, development, curiosity, and confidence. Aumie also became someone I genuinely trusted and valued as a partner in caring for our daughter. She communicated openly, was incredibly reliable, and always made me feel like we were on the same team. I would recommend Aumie without hesitation to any family looking for someone who will truly pour herself into caring for their children. She is the kind of nanny you hope to find and feel incredibly lucky when you do. Any family who gets the opportunity to have Aumie care for their children will be very, very fortunate. She has meant so much to our family, and we will always be grateful for the love, care, and confidence she gave both our daughter and me during such an important season of our lives.
