When I responded to Athena's application and mentioned an interview, literally the (2nd) thing she mentioned to me was her starting pay rate of $17-20/hr, over the message system. This was a big turn-off because that is well over the average rate in our area, and furthermore her profile does not include any 5-star reviews, or anything that stands out really except her limited availability as a college student. I just think it's presumptuous and annoying to be demanding such a high pay rate without first proving yourself, and it's definitely a red flag I wish I'd noticed in the past.
