About Athena

Hi! My name is Athena, and I'm 22 years old. My younger sister is autistic, inspiring my passion for working with children and individuals with special needs. I have experience in schools as a 1-on-1 monitor and elementary Greek school teacher's assistant. I also interned at All In One Spot/Theratalk, working with children ages 0-4 with disabilities through feeding, play, and auditory learning. I've worked at the Center for Developmental Disabilities with individuals ages 18-80 and have experience with respite and ComHab care. I coached my church's high school girls' volleyball team for 2 years and participated/coached Unified team throughout high school, working with individuals with profound disabilities. I've also assisted with a Mommy & Me program. I'm fluent in English and Greek and can help with potty training, diapers, feeding, bedtime, homework/tutoring, and simple meals. I'm very patient, empathetic, dependable and very passionate about advocating for others. Good with pets!
