About Ashlyn

Hi!! My fiance and I are moving to Richmond in July for him to start Pharmacy School and I am looking for full time work. :) I have my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from JMU. Over the past two years I have been working in a middle school as a Social/Emotional Counselor in Charlottesville and I have absolutely loved every second of it. I like working with kids because they are so creative and curious. The conversations you can have with children are irreplaceable. I started working with kids when I was 17 years old. I received a job as an afternoon babysitter for two children. In my spare time, I like to go on hikes, workout and that's about all I feel like I have time for. Some weekends I head to Lynchburg to see my parents which is something that brings me a lot of joy. My skills include calming down children by giving them the space to do so and practicing breathing, baking yummy desserts (parent approved), and making fun crafts!! I also LOVE being outside.
