Ashlyn interviewed well, communicated well & had 2 good references. We hired her & she babysat 1 time. Asked her to pick up a day and she was on board to work 2 days a week. Day two she texted 20 minutes before starting time and said she had woken to a flat and she was getting her car towed. I texted a few times and called once trying to see how we could help get her here, if she was still coming, or if we needed to try to find other arrangements so we could get to work. An hour later she texted saying her car would be ready in 2 hours. I let her know we had found childcare for the day, and later asked if we were good for the next day she was scheduled. She didn't respond. I followed up next day, still no response. Directly asked her if she still wanted to work with us, no response. The one day she came, she did an okay job, but we were looking for continuous, reliable child care 1-2 days a week. Her communication skills and maturity/respect for other peoples' time needs some work.
