About Ashley

I like working with kids because there's something new to learn every day. I'm looking for a job that helps kids with homework as I am a certified teacher, helps kids be creative as I am an artist and love doing projects with kids, or a math tutor. I started working with kids when I was probably 10 years old and I haven't stopped since. I was a volunteer in middle school that read books to kindergarten students. I volunteered after high school in kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms. I then spend 6 years earning my bachelors degree in education where my student teaching was in middle school. I just completed my masters, also for education. During that period I took an internship in a high school. In my spare time, I like to volunteer for the American Cancer Society as an event lead. Specifically I work with cancer survivors. Also in my spare time, I like to paint with acrylics and watercolors. I love watching movies, listening to music and spending time with my rescue cat.
