About Ashley

I have worked with children for many years, in different settings. Besides casually babysitting for family members, I also worked as a teacher at a daycare that cared for children ages infant-preschool age. I had my own classroom of roughly 4-6 children, between ages 3-4. However, I spent a significant amount of time with infants and older children as well. I have experience working with Boys & Girls Club of America, where I administered activities as well as monitored participating children in their after school program. In my more recent years, I have worked for the National Runaway Safeline, which provided me the opportunity to connect with youth who were experiencing crises at home. I have also worked with children in both psychiatric hospital settings and residential community shelters for unhoused families. I am always eager to share my experiences and feel strongly that my diverse experiences working with children have improved my communication skills in childcare.
