About Ashley N

I've been caring for children since I started babysitting at 12 years old 20+ years ago. I started my degree in early childhood education back in 2007, but decided to stay home with my oldest rather than finishing my degree. I was a stay-at-home and homeschooling mom for 8 years and my children are currently 7, 8, and 11. Since becoming a mother, I have devoured research around parenting, childhood, the way children learn, the importance of nature, and a holistic approach to whole body health. I understand the immense value of play for children. I work very hard to protect their innocence while gently guiding them through the ebbs and flows of life. I lean towards more of an attachment, gentle style parenting, but do keep firm boundaries when required. I am interested in helping with after school care or providing care during the summer.
