About Ashley

Hi! My name is Ashley and I love working with children. Right now, I am a Human resources assistant at FEMA and I used to be a nanny in a nanny share with a 2-year-old and an 18-month-old. I also worked at Georgetown University as a teacher for toddlers for over a year. A little about me, my mother ran an in-home child care center when I was a child. With that, I have always had a passion for working with children. I've worked in child care on and off for almost 10 years now. During my time in Childcare I have worked with ages 6 months to 12 years old with children who've had learning disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and ADHD. Working with these children has taught me how to become more patient and taught me different techniques in teaching. My favorite things to do are art projects and science projects. I believe children learn more when our lessons are hands on. I do hope that you find me suitable to be in your children's lives.
