About Ashley

Hello! My name is Ashley and I am currently a special education teacher Kindergarten to 5th grade. Teaching and learning are a foundational part to who I am, and personally I look for learning in everything and try to learn at least one new thing a day! My personal teaching model is making learning fun and learning about HOW we learn. Working with special education I feel that most times we look at only how to close any learning gaps and catching students up. While this is of course important, if we don't help guide students to learn in a way that works for them, how are they going to continue to thrive in the long run? We are all different, that means we all learn different. Brains are cool and even cooler once we understand how ours work. The ideas of learning are endless, so let's learn together!
