I have my Child Development Associate and I used to be a nursing assistant. I am CPR and First Aid certified as well. Ashley joined us the day we came home from the hospital with newborn twins. Over the next 2.5 years, she took care of all of us—myself, my wife, our older daughter (2 when the twins were born) and the twins. We were utterly a mess at every level, and Ashley came alongside to help us through the hardest recovery of our lives. She brought patience, kindness, flexibility, tenderness, understanding and an enthusiastic willingness to grow through every phase, every experiment, every wild idea, and every curveball we threw her way. Ashley has a joyful, positive and accepting presence. She works hard and has a deep love for people and especially for children. Ashley is wonderful and a part of our family forever. We owe our survival in large part to Ashley’s care. Everyone is doing great now, and we’ve finally gotten our feet under us after the twins tsunami. As our oldest has moved into full-time school, with the twins not far behind, our needs have evolved to where we didn’t have enough work for Ashley to do full-time.
