I'd describe my personality as authentic, purposeful, playful. I'm looking for a job where I'm able to encourage the senior and their family caregiver. I started caring for seniors at the age of 19, but was away from this type work for a long time as I reared my three children. I have presently been doing caregiving for the last 15 plus years. One thing you should know about me is I need there to be purpose beyond the pay in order for me to fully engage. My skills include listening & taking notice of the needs, even the ones that may be unspoken. I have experienced a lot in caring for seniors: walked with them through severe dementia, congestive heart failure, dialysis, depression, many physical limitations, real life. I was with my most recent clients for 9 years, until they passed. Presently am seeking someone with less serious needs.
