About Ashanti

Hi! I am Ashanti and I have been working with children since 2015, teaching traditional West African dance and currently I teach acting & movement at an after school program. Children bring me immense joy and have been a major part of my life always. I have babysitting experience as well with up to 2 children. I am the oldest of 6 younger adopted siblings. I am a great care taker, I listen & seek to understand and gain trust between children, families and I. I love to paint, dance, teach improv, make kids laugh, outdoor activities and read. When I babysit or teach, I aim to be attentive to their needs, no matter the age. I treat them like they deserve to have a voice and with compassion. I have mainly worked with children ages 4-12 and I hope to work with you and your little humans too!
