Hi, my name is Armani! I'm an educator, graduate student, and experienced childcare provider passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments for children. I currently teach 5th and 6th grade science while pursuing my master's degree in Counseling at Grand Canyon University. I'm also a graduate of Missouri State University, where I studied anthropology, sociology, and child and family development. My experience includes working with children with special needs, private in-home childcare, daycare, teaching, and tutoring. I offer academic support for elementary and middle school students, especially those who need extra help with foundational skills, homework, or building confidence in the classroom. I'm a Mandated Reporter with additional training in child maltreatment prevention, juvenile psychology, family advocacy, and birth and postpartum doula care. I strive to be an attentive, dependable, and compassionate presence for every child and family I serve.
A Warm and Experienced Caregiver But Some Challenges Along the Way We hired Armani because she was willing to work within our budget despite having an impressive level of experience and expertise. That meant a lot to us, and we were genuinely excited to have someone so knowledgeable caring for our son. And in the beginning, she was wonderful. Our son took to her quickly, and it was clear she had a natural warmth and a caring demeanor, both with him and with us. Unfortunately, over time, personal circumstances began to affect her availability and consistency. There were days she arrived late, days she had to leave early, and periods where she simply wasn’t able to come in. We understand that life happens and none of us are immune to difficult seasons, but the inconsistency was hard on our family and made it difficult to rely on a steady routine. Toward the end, she gave us two weeks notice somewhat unexpectedly. Again, we understood, but it did leave us scrambling to find childcare at a very challenging time. We were dealing with a prolonged illness and an unexpected pregnancy, and navigating a childcare transition on top of that was incredibly stressful. One note: she had a very warm and personable personality, which was genuinely lovely. But she could be quite talkative, which may be distracting for parents who work from home. We wish her well in all that she does. She clearly has a heart for children and the experience to match.
