About Arista

I'm a playful, grounded, and attuned childcare provider with six years of lead Kindergarten teaching experience in Waldorf early childhood school on a 15-acre permaculture farm in Maui. I also ran my own Waldorf-inspired summer camp for four years and have experience with homeschool groups and learning pods. My approach emphasizes nature, imaginative play, gentle rhythms, meaningful handicrafts, and nurturing each child's unique temperament and developmental needs. With training as a licensed teacher I bring both a thoughtful understanding of child development and a deep appreciation for the wonder of childhood. I'm currently pursuing my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University, focusing on mindfulness and transpersonal psychology. I'm passionate about emotional attunement, fostering resilience, and supporting families through thoughtful, screen-free care that allows children to feel safe, connected, and free to explore the world around them.
