Hello! My Name is Ariel and I have been working with children for 13 years. Currently I'm in the process of obtaining my post-partum doula certification and nannying for a family part-time (contract ending in June 2025). I am familiar with Montessori and Positive Authoritative parenting techniques and use them often in my approach to working with children. I believe in promoting independence and providing a safe loving consistent environment for children to learn, grow, fail safely, and try again. I am often educating myself on the topic of birth/early childhood development and try to stay as current as I can with ever changing information. When working with a new family my goals are to be open to learning, observe and acclimate to the family's rhythm, use parenting techniques I feel are safe and effective, and create a trusting collaborative relationship with not just the child, but the whole family.

Ariel is the best! She’s been providing care to our son since he was 4 months old and she has quickly become an integral part of our family. We’re first time parents and Ariel has given us so many new, creative ideas about ways to play with and grow our little boy. She’s super knowledgeable about child development- practicing rolling, sitting, and grabbing with our son. We love having Ariel in the house— she’s always singing Broadway tunes, reading books aloud, blowing bubbles, and dancing around. Our son absolutely loves her and gets so excited to see her everyday! Not only is she a skilled and experienced nanny, but she is a joy to have in the house! Ariel is communicative and great at checking in to understand our priorities and comfort with new activities for our baby. She’s friendly and kind and funny. We got off a daycare list way earlier than expected and literally cried when we understood that meant not having Ariel in our house everyday! I can’t say enough good things about Ariel and I’m jealous for whichever family gets her next!
