About Arica

Hello, I'm Arica! You read that right -- I'm a parent tutor! I am a licensed teacher and have taught special education for the past 10 years. I help parents advocate for their child's needs to help them reach their fullest potential. I specialize in supporting parents as they partner with schools to craft a holistic and sustainable education experience for children from all walks of life. My areas of expertise include: -- helping parents to understand special education processes, documents, and fully engage as members of the IEP team -- participating in conversations, conferences, and meetings to provide input and perspective and ensure parent needs are understood -- acting as a sounding board for parents to assist with brainstorming and idea generation to be solution-focused in communications with schools -- supporting schools and daycare centers with completing on-site observations and reporting I would love to work with you!
