Hello my name is Areli, I'm 22 years old with two year professional experience in early childhood education but countless years of taking care of children. I worked at the university child care center in Chapel Hill with my early childhood education credentials that I obtained at Durham tech. At the center I was trained First Aid, CPR & SIDS protocols. I was only able to work at the daycare for one year due to my pregnancy. Now Im juggling between a part-time Nanny job(that will be ending soon) and a stay at home mom of a 2. 5-year-old boy/ who has given much of my experience. Somethings that could be of convenience to you and your children are as follows: I speak both English and Spanish fluently, I enjoy cooking, I love the outdoors and learning new things. Areli has been our nanny & homeschool teacher for 11 months. She had to learn how to integrate into a very structured household & learn to be a Montessori teacher in short order. She rose up to the challenge, while providing a loving nurturing presence. It was a delight seeing her help the children (ages 4 and 6) navigate through learning milestones, and effortlessly transition to being their friend playing made up games with them. She quickly picked up the Montessori methods and the philosophy. She was always willing to implement anything new we wanted her to try, whether it was an organizational system or a parenting tip we learned from a book! We also appreciated being able to have candid conversations with her, especially that it was two-way, with Areli often giving us important feedback about the kids that we hadn't recognized. We have really been grateful for Areli providing the support when the kids were forced to stay home, readying them for their return to school.
