About Aqeelah

Hi there! My name is Aqeelah and I am a 24-year-old caregiver originally from South Africa, with nearly three years of childcare experience in the United States. During this time, I have lived in three different states and had the privilege of working with four families through a cultural exchange program. These experiences have allowed me to care for children of various ages while adapting to different family routines, parenting styles, and environments. I bring a warm, patient, and responsible approach to childcare, with a strong focus on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for children to grow and thrive. Being part of a cultural exchange program has strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and understanding of diverse family dynamics. I pride myself on being reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to each child's individual needs. In my spare time, I like to go on runs, hikes, attend yoga classes, go out for dinner with my fiancé and catch up with family!
