About April

Hi, I'm April! I am a senior music therapy major at Montclair State, with extensive experience caring for children ages 3 months to 13. I have several years of experience working at a daycare and summer camp program. I also have spent a lot of time babysitting. In my early teenage years, I worked in children's birthday parties as a hostess and character performer. In my music therapy degree, I have taken courses in child development, child psychology, and music therapy's uses with children. I also have valuable experience in pediatric medical settings, working with people w/ complex disabilities. I would love to incorporate enriching musical activities in your child's care! Music with children can promote self-expression, aid development, and provide opportunities for autonomy- and that's just scratching the surface!
