About April

Hi! I'm April and I grew up with a younger sister that had special needs. This led me to caring for others in a way I couldn't without her in my life. I went to Nursing school for 1 1/2 years after receiving my CNA. Nursing wasn't the right fit for me unfortunately, but I know for a fact people matter too much to me and I still want to help others. I'm just not sure with what yet. I grew up in the church working in the nursery, so I have a few years on my belt. I also worked as a nanny for an infant, infant twins, 2-year-old, 11 yr old with special needs over the years. I would say a positive quality about me is I love the arts. I have taken dance (tap, jazz, and ballet), voice lessons, piano, clarinet, theatre, and choir. I'm a creative person who enjoys making children laugh and help explore their imagination. One very important thing that I need is communication. It's important to me and I hope that if I work with you that we can openly discuss the needs for your child.
