Being a Gold Award Recipient in Girl Scouts and volunteering in both the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts since I was little, I have been around children my whole life. My mother ran a day care out of our home up until I was 16 and I would help her with that after school. I would also baby-sit for friends of the family until I was 16. I also did baby-sitting for the Girl Scout Council during their leader meetings. When I was 18, I worked at a Girl Scout Camp for a summer. My mother now works for a school district and I will occasionally help her out for volunteer time.
