As a newly retired teacher, I am just getting started as a senior companion. My own mom needed my help with laundry, light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and conversation. That was a bonding time for us. Now I do light care for an aunt who suffered a stroke. I do not do bathing, toileting, or changing for seniors. However, I will do all the tasks I did for my own mom. Sometimes as a primary caregiver, you may want someone to spell you for a few hours. I will be a kind and trustworthy companion during those times.
