Hello! My name is Annie. I'm 24 years old, & have been nannying for over 5 years! I began working in childcare at 14. At 19, I began nannying. I've worked with all ages ranging from 3 months to 14 years. The majority of my experience has been with babies/toddlers ages 3 months to 3 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology & took some amazing classes where I learned about the psychology of child development from the prenatal stage to age 10, and sociology of family. Taking care of children is a passion of mine and is great practice for the family I hope to create in the future! I'm looking for a family who is in need of part time help with their children, as well as light housework, meal prep, and anything else that I could do to make your life easier! I have plans to move to San Francisco mid October-November & already have a part time job lined up for afternoons & some weekends. I'm looking for extra hours in the morning! Thank you! We hired Annie for a little over 2 months prior to her quitting with one day's notice. She was really good with our baby, and our 7 year old loved her. But I will say at first she would spend a lot of her time reading and/or on her phone, once I asked her to be present with the baby she would only read during her naps. She would also ask to get off early and showed up late (only worked 5hr shifts). I started to feel like she didn't take caring for my kids as a priority or even interested in being there. After she asked to leave early due to a migraine that came on strong in 30 minutes, then called out the next two days, I suspected she was going to quit. Two days later she texted me giving me a one days notice that she had to watch her niece and nephew and could no longer watch my kids. When I told her it's best to give a one week or two weeks notice she did not even reply. I don't expect I will ever hear from her again and will not keep her as a back up nanny as her schedule is not flexible due to her family obligations.
