About Anne

Hello! For the last 6 years, I have worked as a licensed teacher in Minneapolis, and I am also a teacher coach/instructional leader. I have a master's degree in K-12 ESL education and a certificate as a reading specialist. I am bilingual (Spanish), and I also have experience working with students that have emotional behavioral disorders (EBD) in Settings III and IV. I have also worked as a Homebound Tutor. I am comfortable in tutoring for any grade K-12, and I love the individualized 1:1 support that tutoring provides. I am most passionate about ESL, reading (at any level from phonics/decoding to more advanced), writing (developing organization, a clear writer's voice), and developing a high level of engagement in any content. I also enjoy supporting learners with ADHD in developing systems/strategies to feel successful in school. Philosophically, I believe that every student is a bright and capable learner, and it is my job to make learning accessible and joyful.
