Greetings, I am a kind, compassionate, patient caregiver who has many years of experience caring for people facing health challenges. I also have a Masters degree in social work from the University of Michigan with a specialty in geriatrics. I have cared for folks who have Alzheimer's, and have expertise with this population. I cared for my father when he was ill and helped care for my Mom when she was in hospice. I have worked in many settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes and in families homes. I believe that people should be respected and encouraged to live as independently as possible, while creating safe situations that match their needs. I have a good sense of humor, and believe at times laughter is the best medicine. I love to spend time with family, read, visit museums, and meditate. I am a nonsmoker who loves pets. Ann was an intelligent and careful caregiver for a friend. Her education and experience were invaluable to my friend and her family, both of whom benefited from Ann's insight into her client's disability and prognosis. Ann was also able to accommodate her client's changing demands (scheduling, therapy) as her client's situation changed. I recommend Ann as caregiver to any individual or family who faces difficult life choices for the first time.
