About Anna

Here is a little bit about me and my interests. I studied education at Appalachian State and have undergrad and graduate degrees in Special Education. I also have graduate certificates in Autism and Emotional Behavior Disorders. I was a Special Education Teacher for the past 3 years but recently decided to make a career change. I love working with kids of all abilities and have experience with a wide range of ages. I enjoy outdoor activities and experiencing nature. I love working with kids and empowering them to be successful by encouraging them to achieve their goals. My goal is that each child that I interact with feels loved, respected, valued, and important. Everyone can learn given the correct supports and accommodations. I enjoy helping students feel successful and confident in their abilities by providing them with meaningful opportunities to engage with academic content.
