I am 50 years old and worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers for 16 years with a private day- care provider, church nurseries, and private families I have left teaching for profit and now work for a non-profit housing organization putting families in homes. I have my CDA with infant/toddler specialization and I have completed the coursework to get a BA in Early Childhood Education. I am very familiar with best practices and developmentally appropriate practices. On a more personal note, I have met several families through my day job who I sit for after hours and on weekends when needed. I am especially fond of doing open ended art projects with the children I sit and keep a stash of art supplies in my car.

She understood my child's needs and personality from day one, and encouraged her to find her own path rather than fit into a developmental box. She met every challenge my strong willed child threw at her with love and patience. Anna has consistently striven for professional development, becoming certified in Early Childhood Development, and working on her Baccalaureate degree while working full time. She has always taken what she knows via her experience, applied it to the theory and pedagogy she has learned in the classroom and enriched "her baby's" development. If my child were still in need of full time childcare, I would not hesitate to hire Anna. I know that my child, who has medical needs, is safe and loved when under Anna's supervision and in Anna's care. In fact, when I am in need of an evening or weekend sitter, it is still Ms. Anna I call.
