About Anna

I have been providing childcare steadily as a babysitter and a nanny, both part-time and full-time for the last 13 years. For the past 5 years I have also been a Personal Care Assistant for children (and adults) who have developmental disabilities (primarily Autism). I absolutely Love children, and would prefer to have a full-time job in childcare. I have extensive experience with children of all ages and abilities - from brand newborns to teenagers. I especially enjoy newborn/infant and toddler care, as well as Special needs care; I have the most experience and qualification in these ages and specialties. However, I am open to consider positions with children of any age and ability level. I consider myself to be a child at heart, which I think is why I interact so well with kids, and vice-versa. I am equally as responsible and mature, and am confident that I can appropriately and effectively handle any situation that may arise. I say this because I have been in the position of handling "situations" of many sorts in the past - from aggressive behavior to medical emergencies, to complete meltdowns and sudden scheduling conflicts, to name a few. Despite these things, I still want to be a nanny or PCA above anything else. Probably because of the joy and love children bring to me, which enriches all of our lives and continues to make me a better nanny (and person).
