I am a semi-retired caregiver. I thought that I was going to fully retire but found that I missed it. I consider myself to be a compassionate and caring person and I guess I considered caregiving somewhat of a calling. When doing it full time I considered myself to almost be a partner, keeping families fully informed about the care and behaviors of the client. I am always happy to participate in meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry. However at this stage in career, my focus is on companion care, medication management, transportation, and errands. I enjoy reading, playing yahtzee on my phone and playing with my cats!!
