About Anita

My primary expertise is in elder care. I have worked 4 years as a CNA in a skilled care facility. I applied for and was(as 1 in 24) accepted into the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. I graduated with honors. I was the primary caregiver for my mother for 8 yrs until her death. I have been a caregiver to a gentleman that suffered from a stroke for 4. 5 years until his death. I was the caregiver for a lady who had a stroke for 4 years. I love working with people and families to give the best possible care to allow them to remain in their home. I have had experience with bathing, transferring, feeding and tube feeding. I can refill weekly medicine containers. I have worked with patients/clients with Alzheimer's and disease related and infection related dementia. I have common sense and I look for ways to problem solve. I also love crafting and reading. I utilize my skills to engage the person I am caring for. All but one job has been by word of mouth.
