About Anika

I'm a recent college graduate and current Outdoor Educator for at Babler State Park in Wildwood, MO. I love working with kids - no one can beat their curiosity and enthusiasm for life, and I love to encourage that energy! Most of my childcare experience comes from babysitting friend's kids when I was a teenager, running summer camps of all age ranges for my local rock climbing gym and research park during the summers away from college, and tutoring children and teens throughout my young adulthood. From my professional experience I have learned to allow children to be their imaginative, unpredictable selves while setting needed boundaries and rules to make sure that they stay safe. I'm looking for a job that helps me gain further experience with the diverse responsibilities involved in child care. I am hoping to go to school to become a teacher, and believe that this job would serve as the perfect situation to further build my childcare skills and diversify my professional experience.
