About Angelica

I was actually afraid to take care of kids early on in my nursing career. It's a big deal for someone to trust you with their child. And at that point, I was a new mother with my own concerns. Eventually, I took a school nursing position, and I ended up loving it. It's always scary to care for a sick or hurt child--whether it's your own or someone else's. But it's fulfilling. And I love the experience as a whole. It's exciting and heartwarming to connect with children. Whether I'm interacting with the child who's as shy as I was growing up, or the child who loves to joke and play around, those are special moments. I still remember many of the adults who impacted my childhood.
