I had experience teaching Chinese (Mandarin) as a second language for younger kids and adults for 4 years. Also I had experience teaching Chinese calligraphy for young kids and adults. I am a local Chinese Calligraphy tutor and CSL Chinese (Mandarin) as a second language tutor. One photo shows my Chinese Calligraphy artwork, two were taken at a seniors community where I taught Chinese Calligraphy class for seniors once a week, one was taken at a private high school in San Francisco where I gave a demo class to local traditional Chinese Calligraphy lovers. I have Mandarin Level Certification (issued in China) and Bilingual Instructor Certification (issued in China). I was awarded the first place at many National Chinese Calligraphy Competitions and Exhibitions in China.

Angela was a wonderful tutor and babysitter for my seven-year-old daughter. Three days a week, Angela picked up my daughter after school and took public transportation back to our home. She and my daughter spoke exclusively Mandarin with each other. I noticed great improvement in my daughter's Mandarin listening and speaking skills. Angela also taught my daughter calligraphy, read Chinese books with her, watched Chinese cartoons with her, and played all sorts of games like Monopoly and Mancala (all in Chinese!). I was happy for Angela when she found a full-time teaching job, but was sad that she was unable to keep spending time with my daughter. We will miss her dearly!
