I have 3 adult children (25, 22), the oldest are twins, and have been married for 29 years. I have been a preschool teacher for 12 years, working with toddlers and pre-k. Through my professional and volunteer work, I've supported and taught young school age children through early teens. I am preschool Lead Teacher and Director certified, and CPR certified. I feel comfortable with children of all ages and stages. I have worked and cared for children, many on the autistic spectrum, behavioral challenges, and non-verbal children. I am an ally and support all loving family structures. I can care for your children while using my education background to help your young children prepare for preschool or kindergarten, using age/level appropriate learning through play methods. Angie has helped to take care of our daughter, now three, since she was three months old. She is the ideal caretaker: kind, knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and easy to work with. Every day she brings to our daughter an enriching activity, whether it be an art project, a picnic in the backyard, water play in the kitchen, or a trip to a museum. She keeps to our default schedule without fail, lets us know far ahead of time if she needs any time away, and accommodates our own schedule changes without issue. She has been an excellent partner in our daughter’s development, helping her to walk, potty train, swing on a swing set, eat with utensils, and a variety of other life skills, including, most recently, preparing her for pre-school. We have been entirely happy with Angie and will miss her when it is time for her to move on. Needless to say, we recommend her wholeheartedly.
