Helping and making a difference in the lives of the elderly is something I enjoy very much. Assisting with daily hygiene care, showers/bed baths, dressing, cooking, cleaning, being compassionate to their needs, cook daily meals as needed, remind them of their meds daily/nightly. Activities such as Bingo, puzzles, exercises, listen to music, dance, reading books, sit outside, go on walks, make them happy, smile, and laugh and let them know they are important and loved and valued. Whatever the client is in need of I will accommodate and interact with client as much as possible and also respect their time of independence as needed. I had a 98 yr old Professor from UT, who had a head injury, I helped her get back to her normal life and teaching back at UT and driving again, by helping her and guiding her with daily tasks, food prep, cooking, physical therapy, exercising, it was awesome to see her back to herself and seeing he do what she loved again.
