About Andrea

Andrea was our Program Coordinator while I was the Program Manager (and ultimately the Program Director) ​ at the Foundation for Education in Chicago, IL.​ Andrea "wore many hats" in this role, focusing mainly on program event development assistance, volunteer management, program outreach assistance, and ​data entry. Andrea was more or less my "right hand person" during her time working, assisting me with everything from application development to event management to program enhancement. She worked hard, was very bright, and was deeply committed to our organization's work and overall mission.​. ​I think Andrea thrives in a supportive environment that utilizes positive reinforcement. She needs room to grow and be creative, but also appreciates boundaries and clear expectations.​ ​When expectations are shared in a clear, concise, and respectful manner, Andrea is very receptive. She is capable of doing work for someone, in the way that person prefers or taking on a task herself and completing it in her own way.​. ​Andrea is personable, talkative, and likes to work through ideas and issues verbally (in person). She's professional and respectful of others, recognizing each person's specific boundaries, but prefers a working environment that is friendly and open.​ Some of her key strengths include creativity, raw intellect, approachable personality, and trustworthiness.​ She was always punctual and reliable, and I would absolutely hire her again. Andrea​ ​is someone I never had to keep tabs on after assigning a task or project. She was a smart worker, an open communicator, and a wonderfully bright presence in the office.
