About Andrea

I'm thrilled to say that this is my 22nd year as a certified educator! My roles have included teacher, reading specialist, and reading interventionist. I have worked with students of various ability levels including ESL, struggling readers, special education, on-level, and gifted & talented in grades 1-12. I am currently a middle school reading teacher and proud mom to middle and high school kids. In addition, I offer homeschool teaching and lesson design services. I strongly believe that ALL children can and will learn if given the necessary tools. The tools that I offer are my expertise, experience, patience, high expectations, and confidence building. When you select me as your child's tutor/teacher, you can rest assured that your child will be in very capable hands.

Andrea's profile doesn't do her justice! She has tutored our 2 kids (1st & 5th grade) for nearly 6 months who struggle with Math and Reading. She tailors her teaching to the individual child incorporating games for the competitive and knowledge checks to ensure comprehension. Andrea understands how to assist children who have disabilities (1 of ours has ADHD & dyslexia), is patient and kind. HIGHLY recommend and can't say enough amazing things. She even helped our 1st grader get from a level 4 reading in January to 16 in May. This is a testament to her work.
