For the past 31 years, I have enjoyed helping students reach their full potential. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). My teaching philosophy centers on personalized support, building confidence, and fostering a genuine love for learning. I actively listen to students and vary my teaching strategies to match their individual learning styles. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests, celebrating successes, and breaking down complex problems. Open communication is essential for understanding student needs and building trust. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I can help with English, Special Education, and Study Skills at the Elementary, Middle School, and Adult levels. I am comfortable tutoring at student's homes, centers, libraries, community centers, and coffee shops.
