About Andelina

I am a current Senior at UCSB and I enjoy being outdoors, reading, running and watching movies. Specifically in terms of child care experience, I worked at a summer camp for one summer when I was in high school. During my time in this job I got promoted from assistant coach to head coach. Part of my duties as a head coach involved supervising 20 kids at once who were 5 years old, reinforcing the tenants of the positive coaching alliance and running many different games outdoors to keep the kids occupied. In high school I also took care of my three younger cousins, who were 4, 7 and 10 respectively. My duties taking care of them involved feeding them breakfast and lunch, taking them to the park during the day and making sure they stayed off screens. My only experience in caregiving was when I took care of my 87-year-old grandmother for a summer after she broke her foot. The duties I executed for her was taking her grocery shopping, running errands, and providing companionship.
