Ana worked as a part-time, live-in caregiver for my elderly mother for about 3 years. Our family has found her to be an incredibly trustworthy, caring, friendly and detail-oriented caregiver. Our mother enjoyed her time with her, and greatly appreciated all of Ana’s work on her behalf. Ana’s duties include grocery shopping and food preparation, personal companionship, light home keeping, driving to errands and outings, medication monitoring, accompanying on walks, assistance with exercises, hygiene assistance and general supervision. Our mother had digestion issues and Ana showed great care and attention to her changing dietary needs and her hygiene assistance. My mother had a mental illness, and Ana was compassionate and demonstrated gentle care, always guiding or redirecting when necessary to avoid any conflict. Ana was a consistent and reliable caregiver, always prompt, and willing to work extra hours and on holidays often. As Mom’s symptoms evolved, her care needs increased in intensity from companionship to more hands on, then eventually to palliative care, comfort care and hospice. Through it all, Ana was a diligent partner with nurses, aides, doctors and family members, and she always kept the family posted and informed throughout and after her shifts. My family and I are more than happy to recommend her as a dedicated and capable caregiver.
