About Ana

Hello, My name is Ana! I have experience tutoring and nannying elementary and high school children in Math and English! My approach to tutoring is rooted in patience, kindness, and teaching children to find solutions on their own. I strive to create an environment where students can feel comfortable asking questions. I am a recent Cal Poly grad, aspiring writer, and coffee maker. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends; being outside; and reading and writing. I started tutoring my little sisters in Algebra and English while in high school. I found it exciting and fulfilling to support their learning paths in subjects that I enjoyed. As an aspiring writer, I have a knack for giving effective feedback for clear and concise writing. During the pandemic, I began tutoring and nannying my 5 and 8-year-old neighbors while mom and dad were at work. I am skilled in asking questions to prompt curiosity; positivity and encouragement; and patience.
